Little Greene Paint Finishes

Choosing the right paint finish for your interior project depends on the look, durability, and ambiance you want.

There’s a basic rule of thumb to follow when choosing paint sheens: The higher the sheen, the higher the shine — and the higher the shine, the more durable it will be. Flat paint has no shine; high-gloss is all shine. In between are eggshell, satin, and semi-gloss, each with its own practical and decorative job to do.

Absolute Matt Emulsion

With a ‘barely there’ low-sheen level of just 3%, Absolute Matt provides a sublime chalky finish, often referred to as ‘dead matt’ or ‘flat matt’ paint. 

Absolute Matt can be wiped with a damp cloth or sponge making it practical for the modern home too.

Intelligent Matt Emulsion Paint

Intelligent Matt is ideal for use on walls and ceilings in high-traffic areas of the home.

Use Intelligent Matt in kitchens, utility rooms, hallways and children’s rooms. 

Intelligent Eggshell Interior Paint

An elegant low-sheen finish, Intelligent Eggshell is perfect for use on interior woodwork and walls where complete scrubbability is desired.

Where condensation may be a problem, this eggshell paint offers a scrub-resistant, easy-clean finish.

 

Intelligent Floor Paint

This revolutionary water-based paint is suitable for all floors and interior woodwork within the busy home.

Easy to apply and, unlike oil-based alternatives, it dries within four hours, Intelligent Floor Paint is durable and washable, with a sheen level of 30-40%. 

Distemper

A traditional breathable interior paint, commonly used in older buildings and loved because of its soft, powdery finish.

A high opacity, low odour, chalky matt finish, Distemper is suitable for walls, ceilings and fine plasterwork.

Traditional Oil Gloss

Traditional Oil Gloss has a beautiful high-sheen finish which is perfect for use on front doors.

This oil-based gloss finish can also be used on both interior and exterior woodwork and metalwork.

 

Intelligent Satinwood

A hard-wearing, satin-finish paint, suitable for all interior woodwork.

Intelligent Satinwood is suitable for all household joinery, skirting, interior doors and window frames, as well as cabinets and wooden furniture.

Intelligent Gloss

Tough and washable, this water-based finish is ideal for use on interior woodwork and metals. It is particularly functional in rooms which need to be cleaned frequently, such as kitchens and bathrooms.

Traditional Oil Gloss

A hard-wearing, low-odour oil-based paint that provides a beautiful low-sheen finish.
 
Suitable for interior use on most surfaces including woodwork and primed metals.
